Mentor Requirements:
As the mentor for a graduate student or postdoctoral researcher supported by the FMATG Program, you assume the responsibility for overseeing the training of the scholar relative to geroscience and ‘omics for (2) years. It is also required that the mentor annually approve documentation of the trainee's progress to be considered for a second year of funding.
We are accepting applications for a postdoc position to start on January 1, 2027.
Trainee Requirements:
The mission of this training program is to support training in geroscience and ‘omics to provide trainees with a solid foundation for launching successful careers in aging research.
-Trainees must be either a US citizen or a permanent resident.
-Trainee research projects must have a main scientific focus in aging biology that employs one or more omic approaches.
-Trainees must be under the mentorship of an active FMATG faculty mentor.
-Postdoctoral Applicants must have an advanced degree.
